Providing foot care services in the comfort of you own home

About me

Hello! I'm Holly, the Foot Fairy, a registered Foot Health Practitioner with over 13 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working in various settings, including the NHS, care homes, and community-based support. My passion lies in providing exceptional foot care and support for people of all ages, with a special focus on the elderly.

I live in Broadstone with my husband and daughter. Our community is incredibly important to me, and I am dedicated to improving the foot health and overall well-being of its residents. I understand the unique challenges faced by different age groups and am committed to offering compassionate and professional care to help everyone maintain their mobility and independence.

Looking to the future, my dream is to open my own foot health clinic, where I can continue to provide top-notch care to my community. Thank you for visiting my website. I look forward to helping you put your best foot forward!

Diabetic Foot Care

Diabetes affects circulation and nerve function. That means tiny problems on the feet can become big issues fast. A cut or blister might go unnoticed due to nerve damage, and because blood flow is reduced, the body struggles to heal. This is how ulcers start, and in worst-case scenarios it can lead to infection or even amputation.

Regular diabetic foot care picks up issues early. When someone who knows what they’re looking for checks the feet routinely, you avoid the “it was just a small sore” situation.

During a diabetic-safe appointment I check:

Nerve sensitivity and sensation loss

Circulation and temperature changes

Skin breakdown, dryness, cracks and pressure points

Nail condition and any signs of infection

Callus build-up and areas at risk of ulceration

If anything looks questionable or medically concerning, I’ll advise the right next step rather than ignoring it.

I offer and provide:

Routine diabetic foot checks

Nail trimming and shaping

Corn and callus reduction

Ingrown nail management (non-surgical)

Skin care for dryness, cracking and hard skin

Advice on footwear, socks, and daily care

Ongoing monitoring for changes over time

The bottom line

Good diabetic foot care isn’t a luxury. It’s preventative medicine for your feet. Regular checks, proper trimming, sensible care and early intervention keep people walking comfortably and safely.

Foot Conditions

Corns and Calluses: Thickened skin areas caused by friction or pressure.

Ingrown Toenails: Nails that grow into the surrounding skin, causing pain and inflammation.

Athlete's Foot: Fungal infection that causes itching, redness, and peeling.

Verruca's: Verruca is a wart that appears on the sole of the foot, caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV).

Bunions: Abnormalities of the feet that cause a bump to develop on the large toe joint. This can cause the big toe to turn slightly inward

Fungal Nail: A fungal infection of the nail, medically known as onychomycosis, that makes the nail thick, discoloured, brittle and crumbly

Hammertoe: A hammertoe is curled due to a bend in the middle joint of the toe. Hammertoe and mallet toe are foot conditions that cause a bend that is not usual in a toe or toes. Wearing shoes that don't fit well can cause hammertoe and mallet toe. Other causes are foot injury and certain illnesses, such as diabetes.

Products used during treatments
